On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1284.00 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.05%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1282.60 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1277.60 and resistance at USD1301.20.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.14% to trade at USD79.84.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.60% to trade at USD19.322 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 1.02% to trade at USD3.090 a pound.
