Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction, Information Technology and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.37% to hit a new all time low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 2.79% or 0.57 points to trade at 21.00 at the close. mBank (WA:MBK) added 2.63% or 8.00 points to end at 312.00 and Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) was up 0.95% or 2.50 points to 265.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP), which lost 3.82% or 4.30 points to trade at 108.25 in late trade. Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) declined 2.86% or 0.20 points to end at 6.80 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) shed 2.83% or 3.85 points to 132.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 440 to 125 and 114 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.91% or 0.68 to $36.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.17% or 0.07 to hit $38.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.74% or 8.00 to trade at $1067.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.10% to 4.3632, while USD/PLN fell 0.44% to 3.9561.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.44.
