Investing.com - Gold futures were higher in Asian trade on Thursday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1215.70 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 1.29%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD1217.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1197.20 and resistance at USD1236.70.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.09% to trade at USD94.05.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for March delivery rose 2.45% to trade at USD16.663 a troy ounce while Copper for March delivery fell 0.32% to trade at USD2.611 a pound.
