Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 6.50% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.310 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.600 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 1.64% or 0.100 points to 6.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minsur (LM:MINi), which lost 2.26% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.300 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 2.04% or 0.003 points to end at 0.144 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) shed 1.82% or 0.140 points to 7.560.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 9 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.46% or 1.03 to $42.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $45.18 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.20 to trade at $1341.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3125, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6923.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 96.29.
