Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 8.34% or 2.11 points to trade at 27.42 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 8.10% or 1.4 points to end at 18.8 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 6.59% or 16.3 points to 260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 0.09% or 0.10 points to trade at 117.20 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 27.70 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) gained 0.20% or 0.5 points to 250.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 115 to 46 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.69% or 0.22 to $31.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.26% or 0.09 to hit $34.37 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.40 to trade at $1155.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.53% to 9.5818, while USD/NOK rose 1.25% to 8.6098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.69% at 97.18.
