Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 2.66% or 230 points to trade at 8885 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 2.54% or 225 points to end at 9090 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 2.07% or 5.4 points to 266.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which lost 5.57% or 3.90 points to trade at 66.15 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 4.95% or 9.6 points to end at 184.5 and William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) shed 1.70% or 11.0 points to 635.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 68 to 66 and 22 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $40.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.72% or 0.30 to hit $41.24 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.80 to trade at $1254.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.36% to 6.6104, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4523.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.05.
