In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 253.7K, from 214.3K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 210.2K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to rise to 216.0K last month.
