Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.94% or 0.0640 points to trade at 3.3700 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.76% or 0.080 points to end at 4.632 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.63% or 0.49 points to 30.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.93% or 0.215 points to trade at 7.135 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.48% or 0.49 points to end at 32.58 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 1.31% or 0.07 points to 5.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 78 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.77% or 0.37 to $47.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.31% or 0.61 to hit $46.09 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1271.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.74% to 1.1292, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.7862.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 94.74.
