Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 6.22% or 0.206 points to trade at 3.516 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 3.50% or 0.34 points to end at 10.05 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.35% or 0.70 points to 30.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which lost 2.92% or 0.47 points to trade at 15.65 in late trade. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 1.39% or 0.53 points to end at 37.60 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.33% or 0.105 points to 7.795.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 85 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 4.96% or 1.92 to $40.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 4.79% or 1.72 to hit $37.64 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1267.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1021, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.7719.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.09.
