Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 2.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 8.13% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.52 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) added 7.78% or 0.039 points to end at 0.540 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was up 5.00% or 0.18 points to 3.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which lost 10.77% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.116 in late trade. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 8.90% or 0.07 points to end at 0.67 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) shed 5.41% or 0.020 points to 0.350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 30 and 3 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.59% or 6.80 to $1140.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.59% or 0.27 to hit $46.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.20% or 0.58 to trade at $49.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1033, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.7140.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 96.81.
