Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Biomed and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 2.79% or 20.5 points to trade at 755.0 at the close. Osem (TA:OSEM) added 2.25% or 162 points to end at 7351 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was up 2.01% or 81 points to 4106 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.50% or 106 points to trade at 4140 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 0.74% or 1.8 points to end at 242.7 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 0.71% or 670 points to 93880.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 228 to 106 and 115 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.30% or 0.14 to $45.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.60% or 1.72 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1124.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.70% to 3.9055, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 4.3662.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 95.98.
