Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Real Estate and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 2.45% or 350 points to trade at 14610 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 2.08% or 330 points to end at 16220 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 1.70% or 131 points to 7835 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which lost 0.45% or 7 points to trade at 1537 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 0.41% or 22 points to end at 5298 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) shed 0.38% or 0.3 points to 78.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 229 to 122 and 97 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.07% or 0.91 to $44.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.55% or 1.25 to hit $50.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.78% or 8.50 to trade at $1102.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.8052, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 4.1777.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 97.52.
