Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Property, Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 4.29% or 0.480 points to trade at 11.680 at the close. Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) added 4.02% or 8.000 points to end at 207.000 and Ayala Land (PS:ALI) was up 3.49% or 1.350 points to 40.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lt Group (PS:LTG), which lost 1.74% or 0.260 points to trade at 14.640 in late trade. Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) declined 1.03% or 1.7000 points to end at 163.8000 and San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC) shed 0.80% or 0.550 points to 67.950.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 86 and 27 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.60% or 7.10 to $1181.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.31% or 0.18 to hit $59.34 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.50% or 0.34 to trade at $66.80 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.12% to 7.1903, while USD/PHP rose 0.24% to 44.640.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.61.
