Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Communication and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.57% or 110 points to trade at 2515 at the close. Mylan NV (TA:MYL) added 4.57% or 610 points to end at 13950 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 2.80% or 530.0 points to 19480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 2.78% or 610 points to trade at 21320 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 1.93% or 400 points to end at 20310 and Harel (TA:HARL) shed 1.73% or 35 points to 1988.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 226 to 186 and 89 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.67% or 0.79 to $48.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.61% or 0.81 to hit $51.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.11 to trade at $1225.01 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.6124, while EUR/ILS rose 0.19% to 3.9251.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.50.
