Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 2.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 7.93% or 0.2600 points to trade at 3.5400 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 5.82% or 0.29 points to end at 5.25 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 5.77% or 0.188 points to 3.448 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.77% or 0.19 points to trade at 24.42 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.20% or 0.06 points to end at 29.59 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) gained 0.37% or 0.020 points to 5.385.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 141 to 36 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.82% or 0.33 to $40.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.17% or 0.82 to hit $38.66 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.01% or 12.90 to trade at $1259.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1165, while EUR/GBP fell 1.03% to 0.7746.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 96.09.
