Benzinga - Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) traded lower, but the cryptocurrency prices remained above the key $23,000 level on Thursday following the release of jobless claims data.
US jobless claims fell by 2,000 from the prior week to 190,000 for the week ending Feb. 25, compared to market estimates of 195,000.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also moved lower, but traded above the $1,600 mark this morning.
Threshold (CRYPTO: T) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while ImmutableX (CRYPTO: IMX) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.06 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 1.5%. BTC was trading lower by 1.6% at $23,320, while ETH fell by around 1.3% to $1,629 on Thursday.
