Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 4.15% or 0.0345 points to trade at 0.8665 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 2.31% or 0.2700 points to end at 11.9700 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 1.37% or 0.09 points to 6.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UBI Banca (MI:UBI), which lost 5.98% or 0.2220 points to trade at 3.4900 in late trade. Unicredit (MI:CRDI) declined 3.83% or 0.1200 points to end at 3.0100 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) shed 2.24% or 0.45 points to 19.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 219 to 183 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $49.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.30 to trade at $1219.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1171, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.7628.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.30.
