Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 5.05% or 0.34 points to trade at 6.97 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) added 3.68% or 0.89 points to end at 25.08 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) was up 2.35% or 0.270 points to 11.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV), which added 0.76% or 0.070 points to trade at 9.270 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) added 0.78% or 0.08 points to end at 10.29 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) gained 1.05% or 0.0420 points to 4.0240.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 145 to 29 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.25% or 0.14 to $58.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $52.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1155.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.17% to 1.1028, while EUR/GBP fell 1.11% to 0.7109.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.87% at 96.80.
