On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for May delivery traded at USD2.572 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 1.44%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD2.596 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.534 and resistance at USD2.693.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.05% to trade at USD98.11.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for June delivery fell 2.78% to trade at USD56.27 a barrel while Heating oil for May delivery fell 1.29% to trade at USD1.8529 per gallon.
