Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for February delivery traded at USD1184.40 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 1.09%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1181.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1181.10 and resistance at USD1204.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.13% to trade at USD88.12.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for March delivery fell 3.00% to trade at USD16.108 a troy ounce while Copper for March delivery fell 1.37% to trade at USD2.916 a pound.
