Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1153.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.71%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1149.00 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1145.50 and resistance at USD1177.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.15% to trade at USD87.97.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 1.50% to trade at USD15.387 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery rose 0.13% to trade at USD2.998 a pound.
