On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1145.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 1.92%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1137.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1137.30 and resistance at USD1202.40.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.46% to trade at USD87.57.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 3.11% to trade at USD15.457 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 0.34% to trade at USD3.008 a pound.
