On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1294.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.71%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1293.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1289.60 and resistance at USD1331.30.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.02% to trade at USD79.89.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.21% to trade at USD19.593 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 0.82% to trade at USD3.050 a pound.
