Investing.com - Gold futures were lower during the European session on Tuesday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1290.70 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.39%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1289.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1278.30 and resistance at USD1303.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.28% to trade at USD80.18.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.54% to trade at USD19.438 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.28% to trade at USD3.141 a pound.
