On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1290.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.68%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1289.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1268.60 and resistance at USD1306.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.06% to trade at USD79.72.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.97% to trade at USD19.428 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.11% to trade at USD3.090 a pound.
