Investing.com - Gold futures were higher in Asian trade on Thursday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1259.60 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.01%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD1260.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1256.00 and resistance at USD1294.70.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.10% to trade at USD80.53.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery rose 0.02% to trade at USD19.063 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.10% to trade at USD3.166 a pound.
