Investing.com - Gold futures were higher during the European session on Wednesday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1299.90 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.39%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD1301.70 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1278.30 and resistance at USD1303.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.12% to trade at USD80.09.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery rose 0.69% to trade at USD19.682 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery rose 0.46% to trade at USD3.150 a pound.
