On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for December delivery traded at USD74.27 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.07%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD73.28 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD73.28 and resistance at USD79.85.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.26% to trade at USD88.06.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for January delivery rose 0.97% to trade at USD78.24 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.97 a barrel.
