On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for June delivery traded at USD56.70 a barrel at time of writing falling 2.03%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD56.16 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD56.16 and resistance at USD58.82.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.00% to trade at USD98.16.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for June delivery fell 1.92% to trade at USD62.23 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.53 a barrel.
