On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD101.72 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.43%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD101.86 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD98.82 and resistance at USD101.86.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.07% to trade at USD80.34.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery rose 0.21% to trade at USD108.06 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.34 a barrel.
