On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for January delivery traded at USD69.04 a barrel at time of writing rising 6.31%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD69.05 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD67.77 and resistance at USD77.02.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.13% to trade at USD88.13.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for January delivery rose 0.43% to trade at USD72.58 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.54 a barrel.
