On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for December delivery traded at USD77.01 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.22%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD77.08 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD76.42 and resistance at USD79.85.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.00% to trade at USD87.89.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for January delivery rose 0.27% to trade at USD80.80 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.79 a barrel.
