Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.49% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV), which rose 6.88% or 2.47 points to trade at 38.39 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) added 3.66% or 1.10 points to end at 31.12 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) was up 2.60% or 0.160 points to 6.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V), which lost 6.86% or 1.18 points to trade at 16.01 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 2.57% or 0.1040 points to end at 3.9480 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) shed 1.69% or 0.200 points to 11.660.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 75 and 5 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.17% or 0.10 to $57.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.53% or 0.27 to hit $50.64 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.04% or 11.90 to trade at $1132.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0848, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.6939.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 97.97.
