Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in U.S. trading hours on Tuesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD52.85 a barrel at time of writing rising 1.25%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD53.31 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD50.76 and resistance at USD53.89.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.14% to trade at USD96.80.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 0.76% to trade at USD58.59 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.74 a barrel.
