Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining & Oil and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 3.46% or 6.50 points to trade at 194.50 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 2.39% or 2.050 points to end at 88.000 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 2.18% or 1.70 points to 79.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which lost 3.42% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.390 in late trade. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 2.11% or 0.500 points to end at 23.200 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) shed 1.19% or 0.140 points to 11.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 91 and 49 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.33% or 4.15 to $1249.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $49.49 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.13 to trade at $52.41 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.15% to 7.2775, while USD/PHP fell 0.07% to 50.166.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 99.98.
