The investment seeks to provide, consistent with prudent portfolio management, the highest level of income exempt from federal and Georgia state income taxes by investing primarily in investment-grade Georgia municipal bonds. The fund invests so that, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) are invested in bonds that pay interest exempt from federal and Georgia state income taxes, and at least 80% of the fund's income is expected to be exempt from federal and Georgia state income taxes. It is non-diversified.

Biography | Hugh McGuirk is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., and a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Division. He is head of the Municipal Bond team and a member of the Fixed Income Steering Committee. Hugh is president of the Summit Municipal Funds, the State Tax-Free Income Trust Funds, and the California Tax-Free Income Trust Funds. He also is portfolio manager and chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia Tax-Free Bond Funds. Prior to joining the firm in 1993, Hugh was an assistant vice president and municipal underwriter at Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore. He earned a B.S. in applied mathematics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Hugh also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is past president of the Municipal Bond Club of Baltimore and a member of the Baltimore CFA Society. | ||

Biography | Mary J. Miller is director of the Fixed Income Division of T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., a member of the firm’s Management Committee, and chairperson of the Fixed Income Steering Committee. Since assuming her present position in April 2004, she has overseen the portfolio strategy, research, and trading functions for all fixed-income portfolios. She also has key investment management responsibilities, serving on the Investment Advisory Committees for a number of fixed-income mutual funds and institutional portfolio strategies, including the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee. Ms. Miller has spent her entire 25-year investment career at T. Rowe Price. She started at the firm in 1983 as a municipal credit analyst, becoming a municipal portfolio manager in 1988 and progressing to manager of the Municipal Bond Department in 1996. She was promoted to assistant director of the Fixed Income Division in 2001, overseeing investment-grade portfolio management. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, Ms. Miller was a research associate for the Urban Institute of Washington. Ms. Miller earned a B.A. in government from Cornell University and a Master in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also has earned her Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation. |
