Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the Fund is high total investment return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation. The Fund invests at least 51% of its Net Asset Value in fixed income securities, which are listed or traded on a global basis on the markets set out in Appendix I. The fixed income securities in which the Fund may invest include corporate securities, securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. Government or its authorities or instrumentalities (“U.S. Government Securities”) or supranational entities (e.g. the World Bank), commercial paper, zero coupon securities, mortgage-backed securities, collateralized mortgage obligations, asset-backed securities, U.S. real estate investment trusts (“REITS”), Regulation S Securities, Rule 144A securities and convertible securities in accordance with the UCITS Regulations.

Biography Ms. Gaffney is a Vice President of Eaton Vance and BMR since October 2012. Prior to joining Eaton Vance in 2012, she was a vice president and portfolio manager at Loomis, Sayles & Company. Ms. Gaffney began her career at Loomis Sayles in 1984. From 1992 to 2012, she served as Vice President and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. From 1988 - 1992 she held served as Vice President and Fixed Income Trader. From 1984 to 1988 she served as a Fixed Income and Equity Trader. Ms. Gaffney holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst. She received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and has been with the investment industry since 1984.
