The Fund primarily invests in Australian listed REITs (‘AREITs’) and real estate securities but also has the ability to invest up to 20% of the portfolio in similar securities listed on global exchanges. The AREIT component is focused on identifying relative value opportunities within the Australian universe. The flexibility to allocate to global listed REITs and real estate securities, provides a means of diversification and enhancement of returns.

Prior to that, he was the Head of Global Real Estate Securities from January 2005 to December 2010 and the Head of Australian Real Estate Securities from November 1996 to December 2004 at Macquarie Funds Management. During his fifteen year career at Macquarie, David successfully built out both the domestic and global real estate businesses. Under his management, Macquarie’s domestic real estate assets under management grew from less than $500 million to more than $3 billion, while the global real estate business he established in 2005 raised over $5 billion in just 4 years. |
