The objective of the fund is to deliver an annual income that is in line with or better than that of the FTSE All-Share Index over any rolling three-year period. The fund also aims to increase income payments in line with the CPI measure of inflation over any rolling five-year period. The fund aims to generate a greater total return than the FTSE All-Share Index, after fees, over any five-year period. To meet the objective, the fund manager will invest at least 80% of the fund in UK-listed shares, with the remainder in global shares, cash, short-term deposits and UK government debt. Derivatives may be used by the fund for the purposes of efficient portfolio management and hedging.

Biography | Hugh joined Wise in 2009 and is the lead portfolio manager of Evenlode Income, the UK Equity Income fund he launched in October of the same year. He was appointed as a director of Wise in 2012. Hugh graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class degree in philosophy and mathematics in 2002. From 2002 to 2009 he worked as an investment manager on several equity income funds at Rathbone Unit Trust Management. Hugh is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the Investment Management Certificate. |
