An interest income above normal market level is intended through investments in the money market, government bonds, covered bonds (Pfandbriefe) or corporate bonds with short maturity (mainly 1-3 years). Currently, the main emphasis is placed on covered bonds of high quality issuers. In line with credit quality management bonds with a BBB- rating (at purchase) serve as portfolio addition. For this growth oriented investment investors should have a mid-term investment horizon.
