Investment Strategy

The fund aims to provide investors with long-term capital. Income will be of secondary importance. The portfolio will include assets in liquid form and equity securities, across all economic groups and industry sectors of the JSE, across the large, mid and smaller cap shares. The portfolio may also invest in preference shares, property collective investment schemes, participatory interests and other forms of participation of local and global collective investment schemes, or similar schemes operated in territories with a regulatory environment of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection at least equivalent to that in South Africa. Financial instruments, unlisted forward currency, interest rate and exchange rate swap transactions may be included. Nothing shall preclude the manager from varying the ratios of securities in changing economic environment or market conditions, and from retaining cash or placing cash on deposit. The manager may close the portfolio to new investors
