Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to achieve mid-term capital appreciation, primarily through investment in quoted equities issued by companies with principal offices or significant business activities in Switzerland. In seeking to achieve the Sub-Fund’s investment objective, the Sub-Investment Manager will normally invest either directly or indirectly (through derivatives) at least two thirds of the Sub-Fund’s net assets 3 in shares of companies with principal offices or significant business activities in Switzerland, the shares of which will be listed or traded on Recognised Markets worldwide.

Biography	Urs Beck joined EFG in 2014 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Urs manages the New Capital Swiss Select Equity Fund and New Capital Multihelvetia. Previously, Urs was head of Swiss equities at Zuercher Kantonalbank (ZKB) and ran both institutional and retail Swiss mandates for seven years. During his tenure at ZKB, Urs received the FERI award for best Swiss equities fund for two years running (2013 and 2014). He has also worked at Bank Leu, Julius Baer and UBS, where he served in Swiss equity sales and Swiss Equity derivatives, respectively. Urs graduated from the University of St. Gallen and is a CFA Charterholder.

Biography	Melanie joined EFGAM Switzerland in August 2017 and is currently the co-Portfolio Manager for the New Capital Swiss Select Equity Fund. Previously she worked at Credit Suisse where she held a variety of roles including Swiss Equity Institutional Sales and Client Portfolio Manager. Melanie holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Bern and a Masters HSG in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen.
