The mutual fund Tapiola Consumer invests globally on the equity markets. The fund invests in companies engaged in producing, marketing or distributing food products, perishables, capital goods and consumer services. The assets are invested in shares of 30-40 carefully selected companies in order to attain a sufficient spread over different companies and geographical areas. The investments are spread over several industries and geographical areas in order to obtain a more wide-ranging allocation than in sector-based mutual funds and to reach a more stable value increase. The fund is suitable for investors and savers who want to benefit from the value development of the companies the fund invests in and accept the risks associated with equity investments. Since the mutual fund’s value can be subject to rapid short-term fluctuations, we recommend a minimum investment period of five years, however, taking the market situation into account.
