Biography	Riaan is responsible for all quantitative analysis and assists in the research and selection of global investment managers. He is also a member of the Offshore Investment Committee. Prior to joining Investec, he worked at South Africa’s largest multi-manager, Investment Solutions, as a portfolio manager. He was responsible for the domestic fixed interest portfolios and all their offshore portfolios. He started his career in the South African Reserve Bank’s Financial Markets Department, as part of the team that managed the country’s foreign exchange reserves. Riaan obtained a B Comm. degree in Actuarial Science and an Honours degree in Econometrics from the University of Pretoria.
