Investment Strategy
The Fund aims to provide long-term capital growth by investing primarily in Canadian equity securities. The Fund aims to generally invest in the same sectors and in approximately the same proportion as the S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index, except that the real estate sector will be considered as an industry group within the financials sector. These investments may or may not be included in this Index. The S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index is made up of the largest and most actively traded companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which are currently divided into 11 sectors, such as energy and financials. If a company makes up more than 10% of the value of the Index, it is “capped” at 10%.
