This fund seeks a high level of current income and the potential for capital appreciation by primarily investing in a portfolio of global fixed income securities, including, but not limited to, investment grade corporate bonds and government bonds of varying maturities, and high yield bonds and emerging market debt denominated in various currencies. Emerging market debt may include investments within, although not limited to, Latin America, South East Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe (including Russia) and the Middle East. The fund may invest its net assets directly in onshore China fixed income securities listed or traded on any Eligible Market in China. A minimum of 50% of the fund’s net assets will be invested in securities deemed to maintain sustainable characteristics, as described in the section entitled “1.3.2(a) Fidelity Sustainable Investing Framework” above. The fund will consider a wide range of environmental and social characteristics on an ongoing basis.
