This option aims to outperform the S&P/ASX 300 A-REIT Accumulation Index over the medium-to-long term by investing in property securities that have the potential for long-term capital growth and income, and offer diversification across a broad range of Australian property securities. The option may invest up to 20% in property securities listed outside of Australia. Currency hedging may be used from time to time.

Biography | Peter joined Westpac Investment management in 1994, which later became BT Investment Management and is now Pendal Group. Peter is currently responsible for the portfolio management of Pendal Group’s range of listed property securities funds. Previously, Peter held senior analytical responsibility for the property, retail, insurance and infrastructure sectors. Peter also has direct property experience when he represented BT Financial Group for five years as a non-executive director of a large direct property fund, the Industry Superannuation Property Trust. Peter started his career as a fixed income securities and foreign exchange dealer with Midland Montagu Australia and then moving to Daiwa Securities where he worked as an executive in the advisory area. Prior to this, Peter was an industrials analyst at BT Securities. Peter holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Law from The University of Sydney. | ||

Biography | Julia joined the funds management business of BT Financial Group, now Pendal Group, in 2003 and is responsible for the management of property trust portfolios, including portfolio construction and analysis. Prior to joining Pendal Group, Julia was a highly rated analyst at a number of broking houses including Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup), ANZ McCaughan and McIntosh Securities (now Merrill Lynch). Her role in major broking houses has principally been property equities research focused, however she has had a great deal of capital markets experience working on initial public offerings, capital raisings and property advisory roles (including cross border deals). Prior to these roles she held a Financial Investigators role with the Attorney General’s Department for three years. Julia holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a Diploma of Law from the Solicitor and Barristers Admission Board, specialising in property and insolvency law. |
