Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to generate capital growth in the long term by mainly investing in natural resourcesrelated companies within the investment principles. The Fund shall invest in equities, equity equivalent securities and participation certificates, that have been issued by companies whose sales and profits (according to the last annual report) are generated primarily by exploration, extraction or processing of natural resources.

Biography	Shibo Wang is an Associate Portfolio Manager of Thematic Equity team. He manages China-related thematic products and sponsors investment ideas from China and other Asian markets to global thematic funds. Shibo joined Allianz Global Investors through the Global Graduate Programme in Frankfurt in 2017 and then joined the Thematic Equity team and relocated to Hong Kong in 2019. Shibo worked in Société Générale prior to joining AllianzGI and had fulltime internships with HSBC and Bloomberg New Energy Finance during his Master’s degree studies. Shibo graduated from EDHEC Business School in France, with double degree (Grande Ecole) MSc in Risk & Finance and Master in Management. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in China. Shibo is also a CFA charterholder.

Biography	David Finger is a Senior Portfolio Manager Thematic Equity at Allianz Global Investors. He joined Allianz Global Investors’ Global Graduate Programme in 2006 and became part of the European Research department in 2008 after working as an executive assistant to the Global CIO for some time. In the 14 years with the firm he held various positions like Analyst Global Materials Equities and Portfolio Manager for Metals & Mining strategies. David holds a diploma from the University of Passau in International Cultural and Business Studies. He also performed additional coursework at Universidad Católica de Córdoba in Argentina. Moreover he is a CFA Charterholder
