The fund can solely be used by non-profit housing associations and invests in Danish bonds. The jointly adjusted duration is between 4 and 5 years. Investments are mainly made in two types of Danish bonds, i.e. the ordinary mortgage credit bonds and government bonds and in the so-called rare bonds. These bonds are rarely traded but can be bought at very favourable prices from time to time. They are less sensitive to market fluctuations and are a stabilising factor in periods with declining prices and increasing interest rates.
