Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to achieve a return that exceeds the performance of the FTSE Canada Universe Bond Index. The fund invests primarily in bonds issued by Canadian issuers. To achieve the fund’s objective, the fund: will hold debt instruments issued or guaranteed by the federal, provincial and municipal governments of Canada or foreign governments, Canadian or foreign corporations including mortgage-backed securities issued by any of the foregoing and also, to some extent, exchange-traded futures, forward, option and swap contracts on such debt instruments; will give investors exposure to a diversified portfolio of bonds.
